A workshop brought together government, NGO, and donor representatives to focus on poor breastfeeding practices in the country. The monetary value of maternal breast milk was estimated by PROFILES to be $108 million per year. The resulting PROFILES process led the government to adopt the code of marketing on substitutes. PROFILES information was also used to formulate a national nutrition breast milk plan.
